From 21sts onwards many people consider that birthdays and other celebrations are really just an opportunity to have a big party and celebrate with friends and family.  Ultimately the music creates the environment and tone of any party and it will make or break whether your birthday or other celebration is a success. 

As tempting and cheap as it may be to have a friend offer to bring their Ipod with a few playlists, not only are you stuck with their choice of music (which may not suit all of your guests), they don’t have the experience and ability to play to the diverse crowd.  To ensure the success of your celebration and a great night had by all, you are wise to put the music in the hands of a trained professional.

What Disco@Paradise offers for your celebration:

1. Discussions to confirm your needs, the demographics of your party, choice of music and unique requirements for your celebration.
2. Music from the time your guests arrive at the venue, during canapés and for dancing through to 1am (as a standard, and we are available for longer for an additional hourly rate).
3. We work in with venue organisers and caterers to ensure timely set up.
4. We communicate on the day with the celebration organiser and/or birthday person and ensure that the timing works with their requirements.
5. A microphone is available for your speeches.
6. We offer a range of top quality sound equipment matched to your venue.
7. Professional lighting which adds atmosphere without being over the top.
8. Option of showing photos and playing music videos on a projector screen (at an additional cost).
9. The option of karaoke by request (at an additional cost).

11. Chris works with Automated Music Systems (AMS) during the day, which provides music for the majority of pubs in Wellington, so he has to keep up to date with the latest Top 40 and pub music.
